See the photo. The square is 2 triangles. Here is the area of each triangle:
Triangle Area=8*16/2=64
Area of square=64*2=128
Area of circle= 8*8*3.14=200.96
Shaded area=(circle-square)/4
=(200.96-128)/4=18.24
