You gotta use PEMDAS jit!! it stands for Parenthesis , Exponents , Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction if u dont know. This is the order you're supposed to solve equations. so that means you have to solve the equation inside da parenthesis.
(5+3) = 8
now its just -5 + 8 and thats equals 3.
